Des bons livres en anglais sur les zèbres ?

Hello,

Je suis confronté à un souci au sein d'une équipe dans un contexte professionnel, qui à priori impliquerait un surdoué. On me demande de recommander des livres sur le sujet mais ceux que j'ai lu et que je trouve bons sont en français, je n'en trouve pas de traduction sur internet. Le seul livre en anglais que j'ai lu à ce sujet ne me semble pas très bon car il se focalise trop sur le QI et les "capacités exceptionnelles" des surdoués sans développer les aspects émotionnels et les difficultés qui vont avec.

En connaissez-vous ? Ou des traductions de bons livres en français qui m'auraient échappées ?

Merci pour le lien, c'est intéressant car j'avais commencé à le lire celui-ci, mais j'ai rapidement abandonné. Le côté hyper-positif et la culture de la réussite américaine m'agace rapidement. Je vais peut-être revoir mon jugement du coup... Bon pas de chance pour moi, le livre est resté en France.

Merci zebulon, la liste est impressionnante mais as-tu lu tous ces livres et es-tu en mesure de les recommander ?

Mon histoire prend un tour inattendu et il s'agit maintenant de donner de la lecture à quelqu'un qui se pose des questions sur elle-même. Pour être passé par là je sais à quel point cela peut être bouleversant alors j'aimerais autant donner des conseils avisés.

Si c'est pour elle-même, le bouquin de Jacobsen est très bien, je trouve.
Mon hésitation était de le faire lire à des personnes "non concernées" qui le liraient "de l'extérieur", en somme…

lu aucun.. juste un pense bête, je regarde ce qui est dispo et ce qui mérite d'être lu, comme en france je présume que seuls quelques livres valent le détour, celui de sperling semble un incontournable y compris the failure myth sur le génie inconnu sidis, édifiant pour la réalisation du potentiel, pas le seul cas

mais bon faut que je scanne le champs

l'idée est de trouver les auteurs les plus cités et les plus acclamés , sur fora ou espace gifted.. de là on a une bonne base

donc aussi trouver les fora gifted us ou uk ou même australien ou afrique du sud, on sous estime ces deux pays parfois, l'australie est jeune mais possède une culture spécifique en science, et peut être en surdon ?

potentiel et réalisation

déjà lu plus haut, le potentiel peut mener au talent, gifted talented

on va s'entendre

de manière amusante je me pose la question du potentiel et de sa réalisation alors que le monde anglo saxon a déjà résolu la questionde puis 1983 avec tannenbaum, bpc de noms allemands aux usa, amusant aussi bref .. mais pas que

gagné peaufine avec le modèle d'apprentissage, mais complété d'influences personnelles et environnementales

gauvrit dit le contraire, ne rien faire... laisser faire , le surdon n'est pas à aider.. faudrait lire gagné sur ce qui peut être fait ou pas sur les co facteurs enviro et perso


après tout finalement.. en asie la question se pose sans doute différemment dans la mesure ou le surdon est instrumentalisé pour aider la nation avant la personne, enfin modèle traditionnel qui change en chine et au japon et ailleurs ?

individualisme ou patriotisme intellectuel en somme, question jamais soulevée sur zc ? ou pas ?

Ici à Singapour ce n'est pas complètement l'Asie car c'est assez occidentalisé culturellement, mais on peut quand même voir quelques différences par rapport à la France. Il semble que le surdon ne soit pas un sujet confidentiel ou tabou. On trouve facilement des organismes qui proposent des activités complémentaires à l'école pour les gifted children mais de ce que j'ai pu en voir l'accent est surtout mis sur le développement des performances (notamment en maths) et pas tellement sur l'accompagnement concernant les éventuelles difficultés sociales et émotionnelles.
